Easy Tips to Keep Your Car Clean and Organized

Though we all try our hardest to keep our cars clean, they do get a little messy from time to time.

Whether it’s water bottles, extra pairs of shoes, receipts, or simply random stuff we acquire throughout the week, our cars can go from spotless to pigsties in about 24 hours.

But, if you want to keep your car clean 24/7, there are ways to do that! Here are some useful tips on how to keep your car organized.

Trash Can

This may seem a little silly, but keep a trash can in your car. In fact, there are trash cans that are designed to hook on the back of your seat (you can find some on Amazon).

This will give you a simple and obvious place to put loose wrappers, receipts, and anything else you’re wanting to throw away. Just make sure to dump it out every few days so it doesn’t overflow.

Cup Holder Liners

How many times have you found crumbs or sticky residue in your cup holders? In order to prevent this from happening, pick up some silicone cup holder liners.

They’ll be easy to wash, should something accidentally spill, and you can prevent the cup holders from getting gross.

Use Organizers

If you’re someone who’s constantly running from work to the gym and then out to drinks with friends, there’s a good chance you keep a lot of stuff in your car.

If so, invest in some organizers for your trunk and keep extra shoes, bags, and even clothes in those containers.

This won’t only make things look better in your car, but it’ll also make it easier for you to find what you’re looking for.

Put Vacuum Dates in Your Calendar

Plenty of car washes and gas stations offer free vacuums to clean up the floor of your car, but too many of us don’t use them enough.

Instead of waiting for things to get really bad inside your car, go ahead and mark in your calendar a day every month that you’ll plan to vacuum. Treat it like any other appointment and get into a routine.

Keep Wipes Handy

Keep an extra container of Clorox wipes inside your car to clean up any spills or dirty spots. We’ve all had a spill or two inside the car, and rather than let the stain fester and sit, make sure to clean it up right away.

Use these wipes to also clean the inside of your cup holders, your dashboard, and even your seats.
